On September 30th We will have a combined service as we gather together for the ordination of our newest deacon, Mrs. Shirley Britt. Sunday School will start at 9:30 a.m. and the service will begin at 10:30 a.m. We will not have a meal after the service.
Called Business Meeting
We will have a Called Business Meeting to affirm the new nominees for our ministry areas. The meeting will be Wednesday, October 10th following our prayer meeting and Bible Study. A list of ministry areas is posted on Sign-up Central.
Nominating time is here again, which means a new opportunity to be part of a ministry team. We do as that you do two things before you make this decision: first, that you prayerfully consider serving, and second, that you make sure that you have the time commitments for that team. A list of ministry areas will be posted on Sign-up Central.
Other Opportunities to Serve
We have the opportunity for you to serve as the need arises in two very special ministries. Our Prayer Team and Manna Ministries need volunteers. The Prayer Team is called when the members of our church family have urgent needs. The Manna Team serves our families in need of compassion and hospitality during times of grief by preparing meals. Please see Sign-up Central if you would like to participate in these ministries.

Discipleship Class: DATE CHANGE
The Discipleship Class 1: Becoming Disciples though Bible Study will begin this fall with classes on Tuesdays twice a month starting October 9th. This series will be in a new format designed for busy adults as it journeys us though all books of the Bible. Graduates of the program are encouraged to come and mentor classmates as we find fresh insights into Scripture. If you are interested in joining the class or have questions, please contact Doreen.
Fall Festival – October 31st
We will have a Fall Festival this October 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with all that makes an autumn country fair fun. The kids will be able to dress up and get Halloween candy and we will have a fire to roast hot dogs. Games and festivities throughout the night will provide a good time for all. If you would like to participate in the planning, please see Pastor Rudy or Doreen. Candy donations are appreciated.
