VBS Training

There will be a VBS training session TODAY at 2:00 p.m. for all those volunteering for VBS.

Wednesday, July 17th Services

All BIBC church services originally held on Wednesday evenings, will be canceled for Wednesday, July 17th due to VBS activities.

Wild West VBS

Get ready for a Wild West adventure where our favorite outlaw goes on a journey to learn more about Christ and salvation. If you want to help our little cowboys and cowgirls have the most fun at VBS, we have opportunities to join the fun on Sign-up Central. We need journey guides, crafters, games leaders, kitchen help, and security staff. This year VBS will be July 15th-18th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. with Family Night on July 18th. If you have any questions, please contact Doreen.

Children’s Ministry Workers

If you would like to serve in our Sunday Children’s ministry, we would love to have you be a part of our team. We have opportunities in both the nursery and Children’s Chapel. The nursery serves our youngest members up to age 3 with story time and baby games using our Deep Blue Ministry resources that include dynamic video lessons. Our chapel is another opportunity to minister to our children who are toddlers through third grade by offering them stories and a message in an age-appropriate setting during our Sunday worship service. Training will be provided. If you would like to learn more about these Sunday programs, please contact Charlene Taylor at 910-512-4649.

Deacon Nominations

Please prayerfully consider 4 persons to sit on the Deacon Body. You may place your nominations in the drop box provided throughout the month of July. A list of eligible members will be on the bulletin board outside Pastor Rudy’s office. Also on that board will be a copy of the relevant Bylaws explaining the process. However, we ask that you keep these very important characteristics required in our Bylaws in mind when selecting your nominees:
“The essential element needed is that of a godly
character. Deacons must be willing to make the
necessary time commitments to fulfill their
responsibilities and must demonstrate support of the
church. Only members who are at least 21 years of
age and have belonged to the church for a period of
one (1) year may serve as deacons.”
The following exiting deacons are not eligible for nomination this year: Dave Adams, David Blankenship, Mary Jordan, and Scott Hinkle. We thank these decons for their commendable service to BIBC.
